Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline

People can call the Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline at 1-800 Quit Now or (800) 784-8669 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. daily to get help. You will be assigned a “quit coach.” Your quit coach will help you select a quit date and build a quit plan. You will learn new skills for dealing with your cravings to smoke or chew, and people around you who use tobacco. The nicotine patch, nicotine gum and nicotine lozenges are available. Your quit coach will work with you to decide which medicine is best and if it is fully covered by any health insurance. Many people are able to quit for good by practicing mini quits before their quit date. These are trial periods of just 30 minutes each day to help you learn what it feels like not to smoke or chew even when you really want to.
